I had two to these that I raced. I always ended up driving the MBX5 and kept the MBX5R nice. I sold the MBX5 and was going to race the MBX5r this yaer. I completely cleaned it and rebuilt everything. I put on new shock towers, top plate new arms upper and lower and a new milled chassis. I made a new proline body and bought a new wing. The only thing that is not 100% is the rear shock caps. I used the shocks on a crawler and installed new ball ends on the tops. They are usable but they can be replaced for $15. There is an OFNA Hyper 21 (the one with the purple annodized head). I took the purple off and polished it so no one new what I was running. It has a Dynamite torque pipe that is not broken or scratched up. The motor has good compression and has less than 1 gallon through it.

The diffs has all been cleaned and serviced with new oils (7k front, 5k middle, 5k rear) and there are lots of spare parts. Everything you need except for radio and a couple of servos. It is very complete and ready to go. Wife says I have spent too much on setting my kids up for Short Course racing and I need to sell something. I would trade everything here for a nice traxxas slash or I would sell everything for $200 plus shipping.

If you want to convert this to electric...Tekin has the conversion kits on sale for $30 and the 5.5 turn 1/8 scale motor for $65. Just add a capable speed control and you would have a very inexpensive....very competitive 1/8 scale electric conversion.
