If you bought it new there is a coupon in the box for a free link. The older link that you are talking about is a just a USB cable with a 4 pin connector on one end.
Most digital camera's come with this type of cable. The mamba max actually had a USB adapter built into it. The Pro does not, that is why you need the adapter. If you bought it used you can still buy the castle link on the web at any number of hobby shops. But it will come with the usb cable and disc.
