Started running with Jaco Magenta's all around, Car was running very well.
Rears fully soaked, front soaked about 3/4.
-> these were my quickest laptimes thusfar.
Next I switched to Yokomo medium L rears, I noticed I had a little less rear grip.
This means the medium L rears are almost the same as Magenta, little harder.
After this I also went for yokomo L mediums at the front, sauced the same as the Jaco's. Car drove good as well, 0.2s slower as with the jaco's but with some tuning I should get some more steer and I'd be as fast as with the Jaco's.
The track I run at normally starts the rears at about 43mm, anything above tears because of the grip. The Jaco's I started with were from last season and were 44mm (forgot to true em fresh), tore after 3 runs.
The home glued Yokomo tires I ran at 45mm!! and no problems at all, all in perfect shape.
I also milled ride height spacers that will slide under the suspension arms without having to dismount the complete suspension.
I'll get some pictures up tomorrow.
Question:
Instead of milling the height block...can you just adding the spacers under the block ,then readjustment the down-stop screw?
Thanks for great feed back on yokomo tires
