Simple answer=yes
For a truggy I would run the 5 port,stronger bottom and good top end.
I run the 3 port in buggy and it flys
The GX series are great motors.
If your budget can stretch to it,get the combo and hold on tight
These are not cheapo bashing motors,they are as good as anything out there for a lot less $$.
They are winning races against all comers over here and the lifespan is as good as the rest.Take a look at the GO forum for a heap of info.
