As Korey mentioned, HB drive shafts have bigger "ball" and they don't fit to tamiya drive cups because of this. Therefore, when you use HB drive shafts with spec r gear diff for the tamiya 416, you have to do some dremel work on the drive cups as i mentioned earlier.

You will have to make the inside of the drive cups bigger and also make the slots bigger to fit the hb blades.
Also, when you put tamiya front pulley on hb spool, you have to make new holes on either spool or pulley. When you put the front pulley on the spool, the pulley have to be perfectly centered on the spool other wise it will wobble.
