I've been calling the kit rubber tires medium cuz the option rears are soft and the option fronts are hard.

When I ran the option front hard tires with the option rear soft tires I had almost no steering but the tracks I hit have pretty good or even great traction.
Parking lots will be the difference I'm sure, unless Charlie B is layin down the magic traction sauce. His parking lot circuit tracks are hooooked up!

The hard fronts work better for me with the kit/medium rears, better balance but I also find the kit/medium rears don't have enough traction for me in most situations.
This may be the hot ticket on super hot surfaces, harder compounds but when it was pretty friggin hot here in So Cal at the Tamiya track (130* track temp) I still was quicker with the soft rear/medium front combo.

I think the idea was to use option tires to balance the kit tires on either end.

Option front/hard with kit/medium rear or

Option rear/soft with kit/medium front.

Anyone got change for a nickel?
