3000KV would be a little too fast for the Mini cause the motors turn would be somewhere around 13T you would probably spin the tires most of the time. You could get away with a max of 2400KV motor. I run a 2230KV in my mini and its got very good speed. I just ordered a 2400KV motor I wanna see how much more speed will I get out of this motor.
I could be wrong here, but the 3000KV motor is the spec motor for Mini racing in Australia. They are saying it is the equivalent of a good Blackcan or Sport tuned.
At least that is the system I purchased to try out. Some of them post on this thread from time to time, so they should be able to enlighten us.
