I kinda' figured as much. Good "eye"!
My local track is about the same size (maybe a slightly longer straight) and I had good results with the binary motor, which you gear down at least one tooth from the Monster Stock. I run foam tires trued to racing size(60mm or less-my tires were 58mm rear with front overdiven at 56mm. - tires didn't get trued even, since last race day). I started the day with a 32t and finished with a 33t pinion.
