Generally speaking yes, you will need a transponder to race truggy. Not sure if Dan will make an exception, but maybe someone has a spare that you can borrow. I would just show up, don't be shy, and ask Dan to make an announcement. Usually someone is willing to help out. As far as a pit man, don't even worry about it, someone will be willing to help.
