There is absolutly nothing wrong with the steering. As I have stated in an earlier post, mine steers fine using the stock 1/2 offset wheels and a Hitec 7955 servo.
If more steering is needed, going to hub extenders and 0 offset wheels would take care of any issues.
Actually a couple of weekends ago, I was practicing with another Truggy (RC8T) and was able to cut inside of him on every turn. He couldn't believe it so, we switched controllers and he was amazed how well the X2 cornered.
