Are you asking for pinion/spur setup?
If so..
You need to do roll out to get the gearing "right" for a 540.
Tire diameter plays into this.
Head over to gearchart (with a .com)
and plug in your info using the pan car option.
With cooling we (guys I race with) are running 47 to 56mm (some push more depending on track layout) .
Indoor carpet we were at the lower side of that number.
Without a fan or heat sink stay low,run a few laps and pull in to check temps.
The new 540j will unglue the magnets or push back the com. when they get too hot and you jar them so be careful
