It makes it harder on the servo when you go through ruts or catch a pipe and that sudden jar on the front wheel goes through the steering rod, into the servo saver which is designed to flex. When you tighten it all the way down that shock and stress goes on through your servo saver and into the servo putting stress on the gears and motor.
