I ran the new turbo set up in my xerun 60 with a HW 13.5 in my TQ Racing SX10 2w this weekend for the first time. I used the recommended setting for a 13.5 and although I changed my gearing slight, I went a bit higher because its off road, it felt much quicker all around. I kind of compare it to when comm drops came out for brushed motors, but this was much more consistent.
I didn't notice any hearing issues, but this was off road so, it's a little different.
Nice improvement over stock set up, and I liked the stock set up.
