Hey Guys,
I just got back from the track, and if building it didn't impress me enough - driving it was ten times better. WOW. The car was basically dialed out of the box. The only changes I made to the car was to move the rear shocks to the middle hole on the bottom, and layed them down one hole in the front. I also built the shocks with Losi 50wt oil ( only because I have the whole losi oil set ).
During practice I had a little bit of a scare though, I pegged the wall pretty hard, hard enough to move the motor over, and I ended up stripping the stock spur gear. I heard the gears crunching and thought "Oh ....., there goes the diff" hehe - Nope! I'm pretty sure I just didnt have the motor tight. I'll be picking up a ball hex wrench to make getting to the screw easier.
I ended up qualifying and finishing 3'rd, held second for about half the race, but it was sure a blast - even being the one getting passed.
I am very impressed.
