running in engine - question
ok. starting to run in my engine and i'm onto the 2nd tank.
the tank was about 1/2 used. prob 8 minutes of running at a fast idle...
all of a sudden the revs jumped enormously. i have the power off so i adjusted the throttle position to what would be the closed position.
but the revs kept climbing. i had to shut the engine off before i did damage to the engine..
what may have caused this, and any help would be appreciated.
