I saw the Associated RC-12L4 On Road Car at the Snowbirds. It was so nice an simple!

Here are some features:

1. Slightly thicker chassis with 4 cell slots only and a 2 way battery tray for a forward or rearward batt position. No more filing cell slots! Cell slots are across the chassis for more secure positioning plus no one really run the cells that far forward anyways so long longitudinal slots are usless.

2. No cutouts in from of the cells for more stiffness.

3. Revised front reactice caster upper arm mounts with set screws for securing upper hinge pin.

4. Re-moulded upper arms for perfectly equal caster left to right.

5. IRS graphite large ring D style axle standard.

6. Good ole damper plates! Cliff Lett doesn't like damper tubes. You may not think they look cool but they do the same thing as damper tubes and he saw no advantage to tubes so they stayed.

The chassis and the front end are the biggest changes. It will be a winner just like the L3
