I had a engine in the configuration your talking about. You will get a smidget more top end so you could either run a .5 smaller restrictor for run time but all the bottom end is gona feel the same. If the difference is only like 20 bucks then heck ya go for it. I always use speed rods personaly because they have the oiling hole, which in turn gives more life to the lower rod bushing and crank pin. So if that is your major difference in price it is well worth it.
