Try these spool from Titanium Racing. Their Delrin cups are a lot stronger and more durable. Hope it helps.

I've been having a few issues with my spool. First I had a tendency to rim the cups on some hits. But that's been fixed with 46mm shafts and slightly better driving. I recently started running a 6.5 instead of a 10.5. In my last rebuild, the channels on one spool cup had partially filled up with melted plastic!!! Anybody else having issues with the Tamiya spool???
