That's good advice, Larry. I've used older blue long TRF shocks for the past year with internal spacers that limit shock length to about 55mm end to end. With 4-5mm ride height, that gives just the right amount of droop.
The Super Mini shocks (either TRF of plastic) work just fine, too. It's the long plastic sedan shocks that don;t seem to work well because the shock body is too long.
Hey Doc. I used the 55 mm end to end shock length until we went to the Jaco Blue wheels which are smaller than the HPI X-Pattern we used to use. I do agree that 4-5mm ride height is the ticket.
