MicroRS4 I painted and decaled with my own custom made decals back in '03:
I have had mixed results with the D-Drive decals too. A little chipping here and there, and difficult to work around contours. I bought the "helmet decals" - not so good.
I could not get them to bend properly without dozens of pie cuts. I would love to make my own... I don't have enough talent or patience I'm afraid....

I agree that Tamiya is sure fast when you order from them. No complaints there, but the $$$$ is high. I assume they inflate their prices to "list price" to encourage us to buy from hobby shops. I have no problem with that, IF we could find a shop with everything I wanted! Unfortunately, I am ordering from the big "T" quite a bit to support the addiction.
