Assuming you're getting the RTR, it comes pretty solid. Not sure about the steering servo, but I'm told the setup is quite dialed. I'm typically an "anti RTR" person, but again... losi did their homework on this. One exception is the shock caps... upgrade those. You'll also want to get a decent battery setup for the starter box. It does come with a NiMh setup for the receiver box, so you dont have to worry about that, unless you want to jump to lipo or LiFe batteries.
I just ordered a race roller... looking forward to breaking in a new GX motor with it.
