Unless the nut wont fit down in the recess of the rim. Is that the problem?
I have a set of bronz Tamiya Integra rims that I want to use. I was able to press the rim in to the hex, with tons of effort. The problem is that the nut barely fits in the center of the rim so there is no way to tighten it. I meen, I can get it snug by hand but that wont take me very far!

I may just slot the top of the nut and tighten it with a flat head screw driver. It wont be the pretiest but I guess that would work.

I'll defenitly post pictures when I'm done but it will be a while since I'm only a month post op. from major surgery and still have another month to go before I start to get around better. On the bright side I'll be done by the beautiful fall days we get here in SoCal right before our blistering cold 65* days of winter
