Pros:
Easier to drive,
Faster through the rough,
Overall tougher,
More stable(again comes back to easier to drive),
You can push them hard if you are in that kind of mood.
Cons:
Slightly more expensive both initially and in the long run,
Not as nimble(although these days not so much),
Won't teach you as much.
If you already have a buggy, I say go truggy.
