Not for $800, but maybe for $650.
Having said that, I have been told the difference between 1.0 and 2.0 Losis is pretty significant. Don't know first hand because I have only ever driven the 2.0. Assuming this is true, you are buying into older, used technology at a pretty steep price. I have seen a number of used Losi 2.0 buggy rollers in the FS thread for ~$350.
For the $300 difference, I'm sure you could buy used or new components to get close to the $650 - so I would say it is probably not worth it.
[EDIT]Sorry just realized that this discussion was for a Truggy. Most of what I said is still true. Truggys are a little more expensive, but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to get a used one for $400-$450 or so (except that supply is surprisingly low).[/EDIT]
