Personally I prefer using a droop gauge with blocks as they take out any inconsistencies on the bottom of your chassis like slighly protruded screws
Just have to align the blocks so that they aren't in the way of any screws, I also always clean off the chassis to make sure there is no grit or dust on it before I set it on the blocks.
