What kind of hubs are you running now? I would just run a lightweight hub if your building it strictly for racing, if your worried about wearing out parts then go with the aluminum. the difference between the old steel diffs and the lightweight is 28 grams for steel compared to 12 grams for the light style. Im not sure what an aluminum one would weigh. Maybe someone can weigh one for ya.
