Wow can the Slash class get any more popular? Lets give a shout out to all the Tampa guys for coming to race with us. You guys are always welcome to our track ... really nice group of toy car fanatics. Also thanks for the 2 Traxxas give away motors. Would also like to to welcome our latest ORCCC member Timothy Davis! It great having Tim race with us and bombard us with his Toy Car racing philosophy. He is truly an expert on whatever topic he is currently preaching about! Oh soverign master. Last but not least thanks to Justin and Mike Thompson for their ORCCC racing debuts. These guys are at the track all the time true R/C enthusiasts.
On to the racing. Lets see 2wd Tyler Rhimes TQ'd and Dexter Won the exhausting 10 minute main. Dexter led from tone to tone and did 2 laps more then his closest compettitor, Uncle Tim couldnt handle the pressure. Kyle Paquette would rather play BBall instead of turn marshal and will not be allowed to race next weekend with us! 4wd Mod was a little more exciting with Zach "Ginobli" Genova leading from tone to tone Matt Rienders made a go at it in the end closing to within 5 seconds ... to little to late.
Now to what we all came to see ... the Slash class. 15 entries this week so we had to split the field and ock in the top 8 into the A and 4 had to bump up from the B. B main Action Patrick Pehl and Mike sage quickly had a handle on the field and whould go on to lap the field for the first 2 transfer spots .. But the battle for the final two transfer spots would come down to Lee CLeaver, Mike Thompson and Gary Miller. Lee cleaver would finish 3rd and Mike would finish 4th by .106 over Gary Miller. So the Patrick, Mike Sage, Lee Cleaver and Mike Thompson would transfer to the A and see what they could do in the Feature Event.
A main action. 12 Trucks one winner. Shotgun start all lined up at the start .... Carnage. James Tate would get the holeshot and never look back. With the Overall Top Qualifier Tim Davis getting mauled at the start and being left un-marshalled for a good 7 seconds... left him burried in the pack. Tate really never had any pressure and would easily go on to take the win. Mosieur and Davis were to caught up in their own personal battle that they forgot that there was an actual race going on. You see Davis and Mosieur keep score of everything. There is a huge white board at the Davis castle that has track every statistic for the last 8 years. SO you can imagine it gets pretty tense between these guys.... so chalk another one up to Tim. The last transfer spot Mike Thompson would actually go on to finish 9th ... so a tenth from missing the main to a strong 9th place finish. I have to say the Slash class is a blast and is getting more tense every weekend. So if you dont have one ... GET ONE. 3 weeks 3 different winners.
Also a press release from J-Concepts Traveling Team T-Shirt President Matt Mosieur "Due to poor performance by Tim Davis he is no longer on our Team... Trust me you wont see him in a Jconcepts Tshirt at the next event we dont support non performance" he went on to say "We are looking for change so if you see Obama wearing a JC tires search at his Next state of the Nation address dont be surprised"

Things we learned this weekend:
Tim and Dexter use the same hair product
Kyle Paqueete and Zach Ginobli think they can beat my at B-Ball and are willing to put $50 on it
