big bores look cool and all and there are debates about benefits of running them about everywhere, i am still running the 13mm shocks with red springs and they work fine, my car handles the bumps every bit as well as the big bore counterparts.
I am not saying that big bores are bad, i am sure they have their own benefits. just in my experience the sbb ones do the job just fine. i just run 5wt heavier in the front. right now it is 35/30 but for really smooth tracks i have gone as far as 50/45 diffs are 5/7/2
