you would have to get the thicker chassis that comes with the losi 2.0 roller which i think is 3.0 and the thicker shock towers i think are 3mm too. i think thats it and for the starter box yes u can use a 12v gell cell if the stater box has a holder for a 12v with it . i think the box that came with yours is the same as my losi eight starter box and i run a 12v in my and it has prently of power just make sire is really fully charged.
