not if your enigine has a putty ramp in side your crank it causes it to swell up and fall apart and little bits go's threw ya engine not a good idear you need a good after run oil for them motors somthing thing like Novarossi after run oil

But if your engine dosnt have a silicon ramp (putty) then WD40 should be ok but a $10 for the good stuff aint that bad keep the WD40 for cleaning the car and making sure the steel parts dont get surface rust on them and only put Fuel and After run in your engine
