I have a pair of medical scissors that are very slightly curved so its easy to make a straight cut as well as a few curves. But wheel wells and the like are hard to do even with little body scissors. What I usually do is take a dremel with an 1/8 drill bit and use that to rough cut everything and then use a sanding drum to smooth the edges.
