I still break them in the old school way. To some it is not proper but I have excellent results using my method. I just follow the RB method plus a few things I have mixed in. I first heat the motor to over 200 degrees with a heat gun, prime it, fire it up, and let it idle one tank at a rich setting. After that I just drive it real easy on the track, with mild rich settings, just taking it nice and smooth. I always heat the motor up with a heat gun during break in to preserve the con. rod and crank pin, as I keep putting fuel through the motor I gradually lean the mixture and keep introducing more throttle. It takes time and usually a full gallon or more before it is fully broke in but it pays off. I have p5 with 11 gallons and it still runs strong and reliable.
