I run em and love them. Other than lipo they are the best. I have run the ballistic batteries and stickman rc versions. Very long lasting packs. They last me all day without charging them and I don't have to worry about them like you do lipo(to some extent). If you don't want to run lipo or spend the money for them the AA packs are a good bet. I really like the ballistic batteries one. It is made with 2700mah sanyo batteries. they are bigger and are a tight fit in some cars but if you can get one in there you will be happy. Both of the two companies make normal and losi style configurations. Or of corse you can make your own. As for weight they are slightly heavier but I havent noticed the weight when driving with them. So ya they are good.
