Just do the bottom deck, no need to do the top deck & shock towers. If you use a Q-Tip (cotton bud) dipped in superglue you can do it without getting the stuff all over your nice new chassis.

For the battery slots get a good small file, diamond if U can and just take off the sharp edges of the carbon so it doesn't cut into the cells. Another way of doing this is to wrap some emery paper round an old cell and 'roll it' in the slot.
