I grew up racing motocross and based on what I am hearing in this thread.
Xray seems like KTM
The Mugen seems like the Honda cr
The RC8 seems like the Yamaha yz
Losi is like the Suzuki.
Funny....I always think in these terms too, and I have my 2 cents to add.
Here's my take:
Xray=kTm (Both Euro. Very detail oriented to fit & finish...quality stuff)
Mugen/Jammin=Yamaha (stable, but being this planted makes steering suffer)
RC8=Honda CR (Good stability, good steering. Middle of the road. Happy.)
8ight=Suzuki RM (aggressive steering but hang on!! Nervous bike. Be alert.)
I've raced/owned every one of these bikes.
