Well i got my hands on the 3racing spool for the TB-03 and just went to trail fit it in my EVO V.
Not good news im affraid, just test fitted it into the gear box and there a good 3-4mm of sideways movement without any shims being fitted.
For some reason the spool has just three screw points for the bevel gear where tamiya use four points so holes dont line up and seem to be 0.5-1mm further out on the spool aswell.
Oh well looks like i will wait for the tamiya spool to come out, either that or it will stay an unraced shelf queen
