I've had my experiences with the Vspec and it wasn't a nice one. Twice had bearing failures on the 2 gallon mark and had a rod blow up at 1 gallon. The Max Power line of motors on the other hand is awesome. I've been using their Max 21 M5B for two seasons and they have yet to let me down. The C5Q is ported and closely similar to the Vspec's crankshaft so I would expect the same performance but with a greater reliability because it's Novarossi based internals i.e crank, rod, sleeve (if you look at the side of the crankcase you'll see the the Novarossi name). One advice I would give when breaking in the engine is that it tunes differently if not the opposite from O.S. engines. It likes a slightly lean bottom with a slightly rich top end needle setting.
