I understand your point, if you take a look at a Jammin or a Mbx6, there all cf, where our cars are all alum. If I can save 3-4 ounces I'd be happy. I already have lightned pillow balls and lightened chassis on two of my evos and I've drilled out the side guards recently. Saw that on a pic on the net, kind of cool look especially on the pipe side. Some people say it has a benefit with the pipe temp, but I havn't noticed anything. Poinas2, if you get some cf parts made up let me know what you got, I'd love to test them.
I saw the holes cut in the mud guard under the pipe too. Have you ran it like that yet? If so what about dirt getting up inside. Is there a considerable amount more where it will get pretty nasty on a watered down track or what? Sounds interesting to me and might want to try it.
