I am new to touring and in need of some help on gearing. Should you stay with the 48 pitch that is stock on the TC5 or change it to the 64 pitch? And if you should change, can you guys tell me why? 64 gives you more precision in gearing vs 48. 48 is more durable (for small rocks, etc that you can get running outside). For a starting point we would need to know what motor you are running.
I run 64 outside with no problems. I run a 102 tooth for a 10.5 motor.
