That's funny! This is the second time this week I've seen the same prob. My friends carb came apart the same way in his Losi 8. IDK!
I do know the thermo coupler is getting stuck in the case due to over tighting the "pinch bolt". I've had that prob before and bought a new one and used some 2 part JB weld to install on the old carb. Just snug up the pinch bolt and use some Lucky 7 Engine Sealent around the base of your carb.
