Well I tried the stock Losi 8 front shocks and felt as if there wasn't enough travel if I wanted to use some of the extreme shock mounting adjustments. The car also handled high bite blue tracks much better with the rears on the front.
Also note, that if you use Losi big bores you can use the stock evo shock mounts just make sure you put plastic caps on the shocks. The shock will pop right on to the mount. However, make sure you open the hole a little bit on the cap because they are usually not opened enough to properly bleed the shocks.
