yes the wall charger will be warm as it's charging, and if it's the first time that the battery is charging then it will take about 8 to 12 hrs. to chrge. I try not to let my battery charge overnight because I can't monitor it so always charge when around it, and I always unplug it after a charge for safety reasons.
