Ya, I noticed that after building my Matrix too. I shaved the locknut down on the tread side so that when you put it on the car the thread is flush with the end of the ball stud. Just use a dremmel and hold on to the nut. It rubs now but doesnt get caught on it. You can also make a dimple on the arm with a dremmel if you feel you need more room. Let me know if this helps. Kurt
