clutches are centrifugal and at a certain rpm , depending on springs , clutch shoe weight and a few other minor variables they engage and disengage in the same rpm range . so think about what the rpm is when your clutch engages and this should be approximately the same rpm that it disengages

if it stalls at idle there is a problem
if you maintain your clutch properly and often , it will run the way it was designed to , as it is a key element of the car
