The Type-R is a fine car, but I've come to the conclusion that its style of handling is not for me. I'm able to be fast with it, but can't find any consistency at all. Also, I've pretty much abandoned foam tire racing, and wanted a car with a true pedigree in rubber tire. I'll probably have my R's up for sale in a week or two. :-(
As for parts, they've been a little scarce in the US still. It looks like Tower, AmpDraw, Speedtech and TamiyaUSA will be options in the future. There's a few overseas shops that ship to the US VERY fast if you're in a real bind for parts, but it's a little pricey. They can ship slow for reasonable prices as well.
