I'm not BB...no you don't have to shim them any differently. Most importantly if you are using the new drive pinion be sure you use the diff cases made for both the electric and nitro car. If you take one of the new drive pinions and look at it just below the gear you will see it is beveled as opposed to the original material gears which aren't beveled. The second generation of the diff case is also beveled to accommodate the afore mentioned.
