I'd like to move up to 1:8 because of the speed and challange but i'm waiting till I have more experience and wins with my touring car. When I got into RC racing, I didn't buy my first electric touring car and think, this is the only car and type of racing I will ever do. I always expected to "move up". I think most people would think the same thing. It's a good place to start.
