when my pull start died i took the pull starter off and just had the exposed crankshaft sticking out of the backplate. i then put the one way bearing in a drill and now i start the engine like that. the only problem is that i dont want to fix the bearing in the socket permanantly, and i have to replace the tape every now and again. but other than that, its hassle free and easier than a rotostart.
