Actually I stiffened the springs up at the same time that I made a change from the 5 cell to the 6 cell chassis and completely changed my entire setup, so I never just stiffened the springs alone. However my car with the softer springs had too much roll, which made it sluggish in all of the tight turns, stiffening it up crispened up the steering and made the car react faster. I also went from 40 to 50wt oil in the front end to try to get it to transition even less weight to that end, and make it a hair less twitchy and easier to drive.
