Some guys in my area have been using 1/8inch drill blanks cut down to size with collars on each side to hold them in place and they have been working very well.
I was thinking of doing this but this morning I went into the machine shop (I'm at work) & our machinist gave me some nice stainless steel 1/8 rod scraps. I'll try this first (it's free). Thanks for the input guys. Oh, for the record the Mugen outer rear hinge pins are 3mm and way too small (I wounder why they never bent.)
